Course Schedule & Registration

The National Laboratory Association – South Africa annually presents various training courses which are designed to support both Calibration/Metrology and Testing Laboratories. These courses are presented by various experts in their field and provide an excellent base for both newcomers and more experienced laboratory practitioners. Registration and payment

Should you wish to attend a TRAINING COURSE, you are requested to complete the online Booking request form following the link below.

All courses will take place at the NLA-SA building on the corner of General van Ryneveld Street & De Havilland Crescent, Persequor Park, Lynnwood, Pretoria.
The course fee includes VAT, course material, examination fee and refreshments.

Course attendance can only be guaranteed (pending on the number of learners that applied) if proof of payment or a purchase order is received at least ten working days before training commences.

A minimum of eight learners are required per course. If less than eight learners enrol, course fees per candidate may be adjusted or the course may be postponed.

Extra courses will be held if there is a requirement.

A 30% CANCELLATION FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE EIGHT OR LESS WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE COURSE. Cancellations must be made in writing to Maggie Rossouw ( and Bernice Janse van Rensburg (

Discount Pricing Structure

NB: In order to obtain the discounted price, the organisation must be a current paid up member.

Discount Structure – For more than one attendee from a single organisation the following discount structure will apply;

1 Attendee          0%
2/3 Attendees    5%
4+ Attendees     10%

Examination and re-examination fees

If an external invigilator has to be arranged for an examination, fees will be applicable.

The first re-examination is free of charge if written with the next available exam.

An extra charge will be applicable if a special re-examination has to be arranged. Two months’ notice is required.

Examined Courses
A certificate of successful completion will be awarded for those passing with a mark of at least 50% for most of the courses, except the Uncertainty Measurement courses where a pass mark of at least 60% is applicable. If no exam is written or if a suitable pass mark is not achieved, then a certificate of attendance is provided.
